Innovative Driven recently acquired Integro and inherited much more than a great client list and an amazing team of professionals. Integro had been very active in the blind and visually impaired community, supporting numerous causes, including the Foundation Fighting Blindness and the Blind Institute of Technology. Along with FFB and Innovative Driven, we’re continuing the legacy of leadership where Integro left off in the quest to raise millions of dollars to help cure blindness. Starting in 2001, I founded the Scramble for Sight golf tournament. Integro was a proud sponsor every year since, and now Innovative Driven is picking up the mantle by sponsoring the 21st Annual Microsoft Scramble for Sight to be held on July 26, 2021 at the exclusive Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia, Colorado.

Progress Towards a Cure
The progress made in curing blindness these past 20 years has been nothing short of amazing. At the 1st tournament in 2001 we were excited to announce how researchers had been able to genetically restore vision and cure blindness in dogs. That very science led to the first ever genetic therapy approved by the FDA for any part of the body. Now, children affected with Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis or LCA and a particular genetic mutation can go to their doctor and get a single shot in each eye that will restore their vision and be cured for life. This is but one of the many treatments that are forthcoming and that show so much promise.

Foundation Fighting Blindness
Joining Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Re/Max and others, Innovative Driven is proud be sponsoring the Microsoft Scramble for Sight Presented by Re/Max. Today, the Foundation Fighting Blindness is the world’s leading private funder of retinal disease research. That funding has been a driving force behind the progress toward cures, including the identification of more than 270 genes linked to retinal disease, and the launch of 42 clinical trials for potential treatments.

A Culture of Volunteer Support
Innovative Driven’s culture and programs are big on supporting our employees and our community. Innovative Driven further supports the FFB through support for Scott Burt who volunteers and serves as a Board Member and National Trustee.
